Privacy Policy
Bookmarks Star for Safari does not collect any of your data. The only data the app stores are your extension settings (like your preferred star color). These are only saved locally, and optionally in your own personal iCloud account. No one, other than you, has access to this data.
How the Extension Works
Because of the way Bookmarks Star for Safari works, the extension needs to have permission to access the URL of the active tab to change the icon color in real-time. This is needed because the extension has to check if the current URL exists in your Safari bookmarks.
However, Bookmarks Star for Safari will never use these permissions to:
- Read the content of the websites you visit
- Access your browsing history
- Modify your Safari bookmarks file
- Track your browsing behavior
- Track/Read/View/Store any other data on the webpage
- Send any data to or receive any data from external servers
- Access your iCloud account
Bookmarks Star for Safari does not store any information about the website content you're visiting. Not even locally on your device.
Data Storage
The only information Bookmarks Star for Safari stores is:
- Your preferred star color setting (stored locally)
- Basic app preferences (stored locally)
