How the App Works

Sheets to Mac connects to Google Sheets using the API key you provide. This connection is necessary for the app to function and display your spreadsheet data.
However, Sheets to Mac will never:

• Access any Google data beyond the specific spreadsheets you configure
• Share your API key or spreadsheet data with third parties
• Track your usage behavior beyond what's necessary for the app to function
• Use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Store your spreadsheet data permanently (data is only cached temporarily)
• Access other files or services on your device

Sheets to Mac only temporarily caches the specific cell data you've configured to display. This cache is stored locally on your device and is regularly refreshed based on your refresh interval settings.

Data Storage

The only information Sheets to Mac stores is:

• Your Google Sheets API key (stored securely in macOS Keychain)
• Your spreadsheet IDs and cell configuration settings (stored locally)
• App preferences like refresh intervals and notification settings (stored locally)
• Temporarily cached spreadsheet data (stored locally and regularly refreshed)

Google API Usage

Sheets to Mac uses the Google Sheets API v4 to access your spreadsheet data. The app only requests access to the specific spreadsheets you configure, and only reads the data from the cells you specify. The app does not modify your spreadsheets in any way.
